Google Books

I just noticed the new beta feature that Google has to let users build their own library of books from their selection. This is really cool :) There seems to be a lot of stuff available. However, a lot of it is only as a preview. Here you get a portion of the book, but not all of it. While this is a draw back on certain more popular and authors, its not unreasonable. After all you can read a good part of the book then buy it. There isn't any reason why these authors have to give away everything.

Besides there are tons of really good books there in full versions that people can download for free! It's great :) Check out my library. It's still small, but has lots of good stuff. Who doesn't like George Orwell or F. Scott Fitgerald? I do wish I could've found more Edgar Allen Poe though. I really love his stuff. I did get Grimms Fairy Tales, Hans Christen Anderson, Alice in Wonderland and other classics added in. I haven't read most of these books in years. It'll be the perfect stuff to read during those boring meetings :)

LinkedIn

I'm also on LinkedIn if anyone there wants to add my to their network. You can find me here. I've got a couple of people networked to me, but not many yet. One from VMS and hopefully more from Gold Canyon soon :)

Gold Canyon Candles

Well, after a lot of searching around online and a ton of research, I've decided to get involved with the Gold Canyon Company. They sell fantastic candles, body, and home items. I just ordered by starter kits yesterday. I can't wait til it gets here!! I'm so excited :) So far today has been spent reading all about the company and starting my Gold Canyon Website: Julie's Wax Shop.

I really can't wait to get started on my first parties. If I sell $700 of product during the first month then my starter kit will be free! Plus, the money I'll make :) The website is really come in handy for this. Where I'm from is such a big area that I'm sure I'll be able to get repeat customers just because of the site. It'll just be so much more convenient for everyone. Customers who live far away won't have to wait for me to be able to schedule another visit to their area to get their candle fix! It's gonna be great!

As my business grows I'll also be sponsoring new demonstrators. The rewards and compensation plan that Gold Canyon offers is really nice. There are very few Gold Canyon demonstrators in Maine so I'm hoping to be able to meet reasonable goals fairly quickly. As long as I can get this business growing at a fairly decent rate I'll be more than happy. My ultimate goal is to be able to quit my current job and be my own boss :)

If you're looking for some great candles then now is the perfect time to check out Gold Canyons products. Just go to my site and look around. Right now you can get 25% off all products when you use promo code: MEMDAYWEB25. Shipping on the site is always just $5.95. They're the perfect thing for family and friends. Everyone enjoys a good candle :)

There are always opportunities for new demonstrators to sign up. Just click on join us and follow along with the instructions. My sponsor id is: 402802 and my last name is: St Thomas. Sign up now and you'll be holding your first party in no time!

Mlillsberry

Millsberry is down for repairs right now. Considering the amount of players Millsberry gets, they should never be down for repairs!! It's so frustrating. I'm trying to see if the yardsale I'm running is making any money.

Five Surgeons

Five surgeons from the country’s largest cities are discussing who makes the best/easiest patients on which to operate.

The first surgeon, from New York , says, “I like to see accountants on my operating table because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered.”

The second, from Chicago , responds, ”Yeah, but
you should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded.”

The third surgeon, from Houston , says, “No, I really think librarians are the best, everything inside them is in alphabetical order”

The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in: “You know, I like construction workers…Those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over.”

But the fifth surgeon, from Washington , DC shut them all up when he observed: ”You’re all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There’s no guts, no heart, no balls, no brains and no spine, and the head and the ass are interchangeable.

Maine Allows Same-Sex Marriages

The legislature of Maine finally got something right by allowing same-sex marriages. While there are some people here are convinced that we're now going to hell for this, I think it's great :) There is no reason for gay people not to have the same rights and protections that the rest of us take for granted. This is a great day in Maine for civil rights!!

Here's the AP story:

AUGUSTA, Maine – Maine's governor signed a freshly passed bill Wednesday approving gay marriage, making it the fifth state to approve the practice and moving New England closer to allowing it throughout the region.

New Hampshire legislators were also poised to send a gay marriage bill to their governor, who hasn't indicated whether he'll sign it. If he does, Rhode Island would be the region's sole holdout.

The Maine Senate voted 21-13, with one absent, for a bill that authorizes marriage between any two people rather than between one man and one woman, as state law currently allows. The House had passed the bill Tuesday.

Democratic Gov. John Baldacci, who hadn't previously indicated how he would handle the bill, signed it shortly afterward. In the past, he said he opposed gay marriage but supported civil unions, which provide many benefits of marriage.

Debate was brief. Senate President Elizabeth Mitchell, D-Vassalboro, turned the gavel over to an openly gay member, Sen. Lawrence Bliss, D-South Portland, to preside over the final vote.

Republican Sen. Debra Plowman of Hampden argued that the bill was being passed "at the expense of the people of faith."

"You are making a decision that is not well-founded," warned Plowman.

But Senate Majority Leader Philip Bartlett II said the bill does not compel religious institutions to recognize gay marriage.

"We respect religious liberties. ... This is long overdue," said Bartlett, D-Gorham.

Maine is now the fourth state in New England, to allow same-sex marriages. Connecticut enacted a bill after being ordered to allow gay marriages by the courts, and Vermont passed a bill over the governor's veto.

New Hampshire's House was also expected to vote on a bill Wednesday and send it to Gov. John Lynch, a Democrat.

Massachusetts' high court has ordered the state to recognize gay marriages. In Rhode Island, a bill to legalize same-sex marriage has been introduced but is not expected to pass this year.

Outside New England, Iowa is recognizing gay marriages on court orders. The practice was briefly legal in California before voters banned it.

Getting started in Millsberry

Getting started with a buddy in Millsberry is really easy. The sign up process is very simple, and you can have up to five accounts on one email address. Once you've signed up it's time to start playing :) The biggest question new users is have is how to make money fast! People are always looking for new cheats. However, Millsberry is pretty much cheat free. The only I know of is with the polls. If you clear your cache you can vote again. Each vote gets you 500 millsbucks.

Another cheat some players use is creating cloned items. Unfortunately there are tons of fakes out there for some of the most valuable items in Millsberry. If you happen to buy one in a yardsale there is also no option of getting your cash back. Millsberry itself is really lacking on player support in this area. Players also run into cloners when participating in some of the forums about Millsberry. Any decent forum will immediately get rid of any member who is trading in clones. True players hate clones!!

That's it for real cheats in Millsberry. Thankfully though there are some good tips that help you get started making money fast :)

The first thing you need to do is play games. You can play each game three times a day for a score. Play as many as you can to build up your funds. Once you've got 2,500 millsbucks you can go to hardware store and buy a yard for your house. After you get the yard you will be able to open your yardsale. In the beginning you can start making a decent amount of money from some of the reward items you can get from the games, Colhurst Tunnels or Spotting Sylvie. As you start to built up your cash, start looking around in other people's yardsales. You want to find inexpensive items and sell them for a profit. Learning to recognize these items is where a good forum comes in handy. Usually you can find lists or rare or unique items there.

Another thing that helps is to make sure you participate in any of their special events. The trophies and items they give out only get more valuable over time. Some of the trophies from past contests are worth millions.

Finally, you have to open a bank account ASAP! You get interest on the money, which you collect each day. As you build up your stash you can upgrade you account which gives you more interest. I currently have over $200 millsbucks in the bank and make 11% interest each day. It's a little over 60k. It's adds up fast now :)

I'll be sure to add more tips as I think of them!
